Hibiscus sabdariffa, a colourful sweetness 

Hibiscus is a perennial plant in the mallow family. Hibiscus sabdariffa, more specifically, is native to West Africa. Often used for its medicinal properties, such as in infusions, Hibiscus sabdariffa is also attributed with cosmetic benefits. 

Rich in anthocyanins (which happen to be powerful antioxidants and colourings), vitamin C, organic AHA acids, sugars (moisturisers and soothingand in mucilages, is an ingredient worth knowing about. 

Anthocyanins, allies for the skin: 

These are the molecules that, in nature, give colour to flowers and fruits. But they are also, and above all, highly sought-after antioxidants. An antioxidant is capable of capturing free radicals resulting from oxidative stress and neutralising them. Consequently, Hibiscus helps to fight premature skin ageing.
